Primary sportfish species found within the pool are walleye, sauger, saugeye (in low numbers), smallmouth, largemouth, spotted, white, and hybrid striped bass. Other sportfish include crappie, channel catfish, flathead catfish, and blue catfish. West Virginia annually stocks blue cats.
