Ice fishing has ended in southern Michigan and anglers are starting to hit the open water. In the northern two-thirds of the state, winter is hanging on and ice fishing continues. Walleyes, pike and panfish are hitting in lakes across northern Michigan. Anglers are reminded that the walleye, pike and muskie seasons end March 15, except on Lower Peninsula Great Lakes and connecting waters.
