NSSF adds two staffers
NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation, the trade association for the firearms industry, has announced that Mike Vrooman has joined the staff as its managing director of member services, and John McNamara has signed on as the organization’s new senior director of retailer services.
As managing director of member services, Vrooman will oversee the team responsible for creating and implementing programs and initiatives provided to its member companies, including retailers, ranges and manufacturers, along with supporting outreach efforts that attract new participants to the shooting sports. He brings with him more than 10 years of experience in the firearms and hunting industry, including time at Beretta and Remington in sales, marketing and product management.
McNamara will oversee NSSF’s many retailer programs and benefits, including the priority efforts aimed at improving FFL security and compliance. He brings with him more than 14 years of experience in sales, marketing, management and business development. His last seven years were spent as vice president at PTR Industries, Inc., a South Carolina-based rifle manufacturer. During that time, he was responsible for the company’s sales, marketing, compliance, public relations and administrative efforts.
