Wisconsin Traditional Archers State Shoot is Aug. 5-6 in New Berlin

Traditional archery enthusiasts from around the state will gather Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 5-6 in New Berlin for the annual Wisconsin Traditional Archers (WTA) State Shoot.

The event will be hosted by the Ojibwa Bowhunters at 3045 South Johnson Road in New Berlin.

“Fun shoots” will be offered both days, or shoot on Saturday to be eligible for the state championship event on Sunday. The state shoot will run from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost is $15 for one day or $20 for both days

The state tournament has five divisions: men, women, kids ages 13-17, kids ages 8-12, and kids ages 7 and younger.

Adults wishing to qualify for the Sunday championship round must be WTA members and pay $5. Memberships are available on site.
