Rapala’s Mark Fisher to retire in October

After playing a leading role in product development for Rapala for nearly two decades, Mark Fisher has announced he will retire in October.

Fisher, 64, who was born and raised in Minnesota, joined the Rapala pro-staff team in 1988 and, in 2000, joined Rapala full-time as director of field promotions. A former owner of a Minneapolis sign-painting company, Fisher cultivated an interest in design throughout his career.

In retirement, Fisher will continue to play a role with the Rapala pro-staff team as a chartered promotional angler. He also plans to give back to his community through speaking engagements focused on getting youths into fishing and volunteering to help people in need.
