My six month four legged kid... Trigger has shown amazing depth of character at an early young age. Trigger is gentle with other dogs and children but has the heart of a lion when it comes to hunting. Trigger flushed and retrieved his first pheasant at 3 months. The rooster was almost as big as he was which made me a little apprehensive to have him hunt so early. Trigger handled it with ease and brought the rooster back to my feet. Trigger has brought sunshine to all of those he meets, including every child in the neighborhood. I was honored to have Trigger by my side and walk me down the aisle to marry my husband. Trigger can be described as faithful, loving, and a hunter.

Abe is a 5 year old black lab. he has been my favorite hunting buddy since I was 12. He is primarily a pheasant hunting dog, but as I have gotten older I have taken an interest in waterfowl hunting, and so has he. he is an awesome dog with a great personality who lives and breathes for hunting (and table scraps) I wouldn't want any other dog retrieving my birds!

TuckerTwo is six year old, lab, but still thinks he is six months old! He loves the water and mostly participates in duck hunting. In fact he gets so excited that if he sees a duck fall from the sky, he thinks he should retrieve all of them! That's why you will see the leash on picture - trying to keep him from retrieving other hunters ducks. Teaching him when the leash is on, he has to stay in the boat and let another dog have the fun of retrieving.

Moose is an 8yr old golden and my best buddy. He is a AKC master hunter but loves to snuggle in to the layout blind next to me, helping keep me warm on those could days. This photos was taken late season in South Dakota. I had left the layout blind to walk around and snapped Moose's photo looking at me and silently saying Hey get back in here its cold out there!

Everyone measures success differently, on this particular pheasant hunt, we may not have bagged any birds, however, we did succeed in capturing a nice picture of Penny during her first hunting season.

Layla (golden retriever) & Willy(yellow lab) are two pieces to my three piece(also have a GSP) bird wrecking crew! Layla didn't start hunting until she as 2 (now 6), but she's caught up quick! This was a hunt from last fall that ended in limits for us all. There's nothing I enjoy more than training and hunting behind my bird dogs and chasing roosters all fall long!

This was Penny's first year hunting. I took her home last winter and proceeded to train her myself all spring and summer. This was one of the most experiences I have been able to do so far.

This is the first official retrieve of a wild Rooster Pheasant that Roxy recorded in the Fall of 2016. It was the middle of October and pushing 80 degrees. Dust, debris, and the heat were making it tough for her to keep going strong but perseverance and pure will led her right to these stud Roosters. Roxy is just about a year and a half now but during the time of this photo, she was eight months old. She is a pure bred Black Labrador Retriever.

My father-in-laws dog. It was the last day of the MN pheasant season. My favorite part of pheasant hunting is watching Sully work. He pointed this rooster and it was a picture perfect flush.

Ellie is a 7-year old German Shorthaired Pointer that absolutely loves birds. She thinks about birds all the time, even when we're not chasing pheasants, Ellie is pointing robins in the backyard. She gets a little upset when we miss a rooster (she should expect that by now), but she quickly gets over it and finds us another. Ellie is a great dog and we love watching her hunt.

Remi is a 4 year old chocolate lab and lives for waterfowl and upland bird hunting. He never fails to amaze me when he's chasing down a diving cripple or a running rooster. When we aren't hunting he's usually snuggled on my lap in the house. I snapped this photo last season in northeast Minnesota just as the sun started to shine on his beautiful chocolate fur!
