Some resident hunters fear the commercialization of waterfowl hunting in the state, while some business interests want more nonresident hunters and their money in South Dakota.

Turkey hunters are allowed two bearded turkeys per year in most of the state. But in far northern Maine, hunters can take only one. And the state rotates legal hunting weeks based on hunters’ year of birth.
It appeared to be a surprise encounter, the bear fled, the man suffered some bruises and scrapes, and Game and Fish doesn’t expect to take any further management action of the animal.
The groups argue that because the federal government didn’t do the proper review, it doesn’t have the science to justify the authorization to kill coyotes, mountain lions, and other animals across Idaho.
The bank below the River Center is a busy place during the Kenai River’s sockeye salmon run in July. As a result, the bank has been heavily damaged over time, and the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly recently accepted a matching grant for the River Center to restore some of the bank before sockeye season begins.
