Division of Wildlife Central Ohio – Wildlife District 1 • State wildlife officer John Coffman, assigned to Fayette County, contacted a fisherman at Deer Creek Lake. The man said he had caught a few saugeyes. Further investigation revealed seven saugeyes in the man’s cooler, one more than the legal limit. Officer Coffman then inspected the
Central Region Indian Lake (Logan County) – Saugeyes are being caught along the south bank and around the Moundwood and Dream bridge areas. Try crankbaits and worm harnesses trolled near the bottom. DISTRICT 1 Conservation Officer Ethen Mapes was working an evening patrol when he pulled into the Ontonagon Village Marina. When Mapes drove towards the fishing docks, he witnessed a man bend over and throw something off the dock. Upon contact, the angler and his son denied throwing back any fish. Lake St. Clair Water temperatures were running about 74 degrees in shallow water and 70 out deeper on Lake St. Clair. Smallmouth bass have been caught near the mouth of the Detroit River when casting soft plastics in 10 to 15 feet of water, around the Mile Roads and the stretch near the Clinton River
