Illinois Outdoor News Cuffs & Collars Report – June 10th, 2016

CPO Francisko was checking fishermen along the Mississippi River. The CPO watched fishermen at Lock and Dam No. 14 near Hampton for quite awhile before approaching them. A Chicago man had stopped fishing and was at a picnic table by the time the CPO made contact with him. The man stated, “I’m just watching these guys fish.” The CPO stated, “We both know that’s a lie.” The subject dropped his head and stated, “Yes we do.” The man was issued a citation for fishing without a valid fishing license.

Wisconsin Outdoor News Cuffs & Collars Report – June 10th, 2016

Warden Brandon Smith, of Burlington, contacted three subjects who were observed to be fishing on the Fox River near Silver Lake. Upon contact, two of the subjects were found to be fishing without a license. The one subject with a fishing license admitted he was fishing with five lines. Enforcement action was taken for the fishing violations. The individuals had driven to the river and none of them possessed a valid driver’s license. Two of the subjects drove away from the area after being instructed not to drive. The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department was advised of the situation and additional enforcement action was taken when the subjects returned.
