Thousand Island Fishing Report – March 18th, 2016

St. Lawrence River: Not hearing much now with ice conditions rapidly deteriorating.

Black Lake: If safe ice still exists, crappie may be an option.

Chaumont Bay: Ice conditions were changing rapidly and safe ice may no longer be an option. The second annual ice fishing derby sponsored by Chaumont Hardware earlier this month led to some fine catches, topped by a 13.75-pound walleye from the bay and a 23-pound plus pike taken from Cranberry Lake.
