Southwest Pennsylvania Fishing Report – March 11th, 2016

Glendale Lake (Cambria County) — A 43-inch muskellunge was taken through the ice on a sucker in late February.  Other anglers were catching yellow perch, northern pike and some larger chain pickerel.

Lake Rowena (Cambria County) — Trout were reported in recent weeks.

Duman Lake (Cambria County) — Trout and large pickerel were reported at this 21-acre impoundment in recent weeks.

Highpoint Lake (Somerset County) — Chain pickerel and panfish, including some nice-size crappies, were reported at this elevated impoundment in February. Anglers also were catching a few bass and catfish and some northern pike. 

Youghiogheny River Reservoir (Somerset County) — As ice allowed last month, anglers in Braddock Cove were catching panfish. 

Youghiogheny River — The tailrace was yielding some nice trout last month.
