Adirondacks Fishing Report – February 19th, 2016

Schroon Lake: Ice conditions continue to improve ahead of next month’s ice fishing derby. The north end has the most ice and has even seen some truck traffic.

Lake Champlain: We’re getting reports that smelt fishing, while not as red hot as in the past, has finally improved this season on Bulwagga Bay in Port Henry. Keep a close eye on ice conditions if you go.

Eagle Lake: Has been a decent option, notably for pike.

Lake Eaton: Landlocked salmon and rainbow trout have been cooperating.

Tupper Lake/Simon Pond: Pike, and walleye if you can locate them.

Franklin Falls: Always a decent option for walleye, but check conditions.
