Southwest Pennsylvania Fishing Report – January 1st, 2016

Monongahela River/Ten Mile Creek (Greene, Washington counties) — Walleyes and saugers were hitting near the locks and dams as of Dec. 16. Gizzard shad were reportedly swarming in Ten Mile Creek, a Mon River tributary, and muskies were feeding between Ten Mile Park and the confluence with the Mon River.

Stonycreek River (Somerset County) — Trout up to 17 inches were reported amid very light angling pressure in recent weeks.

Laurel Hill Lake (Somerset County) — The upper end was yielding trout in recent weeks.
