Northeast Pennsylvania Fish Report – November 6th, 2015

Lehigh River — Willie’s Bait & Tackle reported fantastic trout fishing through late October, with many measuring 14 to 17 inches, and one rainbow measuring 23½ inches. Crawlers and shiners were the tickets. 

Little Lehigh Creek (Lehigh County) — Recently stocked trout were hitting on butter worms, powerbait, and fathead minnows.

Bushkill Creek (Northampton County) — A nice trout bite was reported through late October on a variety of baits, including fathead minnows and powerbait.

Mauch Chunk Lake (Carbon County) — Pickerel and panfish were reported along with largemouth bass on shiners through late October. 

Beltzville Lake (Carbon County) — Largemouth bass and some smallmouth bass were reported in recent weeks, along with a few stripers. The bass were biting shiners, and the stripers were taking crankbaits and large stickbaits.

North Branch of the Susquehanna River (Bradford, Sullivan counties) — The walleye bite picked up in mid-October, with silver and black crankbaits productive. 

Lackawanna Lake (Lackawanna County) — Trout and bass were hitting through mid-October.

Prompton Dam (Wayne County) — Smallmouth bass and crappies were reported on jigs and spoons in recent weeks.

Long Pond (Wayne County) — Trout were hitting on pastebaits. The occasional crappie was reported on jigs and small live bait.

Minsi Lake (Northampton County) — Recently stocked trout were hitting on fathead minnows through late October.
