Overall, the youth season produced a harvest of 901 turkeys, up from the 787 taken last year. Youth season dates were March 28-29 in the south zone, and April 4-5 in the north zone.
According to DNR, 57 counties recorded increased harvest.
Fulton County and Pike County tied for the top harvest with 30 turkeys each. Macoupin County recorded 29 turkey kills.
