NORTHEAST METRO
Crappie action has been limited with just a few fish coming from the shallows of White Bear Lake and the north end of Bald Eagle Lake, but both bites will improve as the sun comes out and the water warms. Walleye fishing remains consistent with a jig and minnow in Pool 2 on the Mississippi River.

WEST METRO
The ice is gone throughout the area, but crappie action is slow developing. Some small lakes and some bays on the bigger lakes are producing a few crappies, but numbers of fish have been tough to find. This can change quick as the water begins to warm.

The ice is gone and docks are going to start being put in at the marina soon. The plan is to re-open the marina and bait shop for boat launching and the start of the open-water season on April 17.
