North Central Pennsylvania Fishing Report – March 13th, 2015

Hamilton Lake (Tioga County) — Numbers of perch, bluegills and crappies were hitting on waxworms. Anglers were fishing through about 14 inches of ice.

Hills Creek Reservoir (Tioga County) — Nice perch up to 12 and 13 inches were reported on waxworms or fathead minnows. Bass and chain pickerel also were biting, with live shiners the best bet. 

Beechwood Lake (Tioga County) — Trout were biting waxworms, fathead minnows, and PowerBait, and a lot of small perch were hitting a variety of lures. Few keeper perch were reported.

Foster Joseph Sayers Lake (Centre County) — Crappies and some yellow perch were iced on jigs tipped with wax worms, maggots or jigging spoons.

Shagger’s Inn Reservoir (Clearfield County) — Waxworm-tipped jigs were catching panfish through the ice in February. 

Curwensville Dam (Clearfield County) — Yellow perch, crappies and muskies were hitting through the ice in February.
