Southeast Pennsylvania Fishing Report – February 27th, 2015

Kaercher Creek Lake, Scott’s Run Lake (Berks, Lancaster counties) — Trout were reported on small jigs and minnows, crawlers, or waxworms.

Lake Ontelaunee (Berks County) — Numbers of bass were iced on large minnows through early to mid-February.

Blue Marsh Lake (Berks County) — The upper coves were yielding large crappies and the occasional hybrid striped bass.

Middle Creek Lake (Lancaster County) — Ice anglers were catching bass and catfish through early to mid-February.

Struble Lake (Chester County) — Bluegills, crappies and yellow perch were being iced on shiners, chubs, flathead minnows and mealworms earlier this month amid high fishing pressure.

Marsh Creek Lake (Chester County) — Panfish were reported on various live baits and brightly-colored jigs.

Muddy Run Lake (Lancaster County) — Ice anglers were catching yellow perch on spoons. Black crappies and trout also were reported.
