Metro Area Fishing Report – February 20th, 2015

NORTHEAST METRO

Look for suspended crappies over 30 to 34 feet in the Bayport area of the St. Croix River, 25 feet on White Bear Lake, 25 to 35 feet on Bald Eagle Lake, and 15 to 20 feet on Big Carnelian Lake. Sucker minnows continue to produce northern pike in 10 to 12 feet on Lake Owasso.

WEST METRO

Sucker minnows are turning northern pike in 10 to 12 feet on Lake Minnewashta, St. Joe Lake, and Lake Zumbra. Hit Rietz Lake for sunfish in 12 to 16 feet and Hydes Lake for crappies in 14 to 16 feet.

LAKE WACONIA

Crappies remain suspended over 19 to 23 feet in Wagener’s Bay, while sunfish and northern pike are hitting in 10 to 14 feet on Center Reef and Pillsbury Reef. If you get away from the crowds, you’ll catch walleyes at night in 13 to 15 feet on North Reef, Kegg’s Reef, and Anderson’s Reef.
