Cedar Lake and Lake Mazaska are producing northern pike and crappies in 15 to 20 feet. Look to Cannon Lake for perch and an occasional walleye in 10 feet. Crappies are suspended over 30 feet and active during low-light on French Lake.

RED WING AREA
The Methodist Point area on Lake Pepin is producing walleyes for ice anglers in 17 to 20 feet. Look to the backwaters of the Mississippi River for crappies and bluegills in 3 to 10 feet. With better weather expected this weekend, open water fishing should be productive for walleyes and sauger below the dams on the river.

ROCHESTER AREA
Rainbow trout continue to be found suspended below the ice in 8 feet of water on Foster-Arend Pond. Hit Lake Zumbro for sunfish and an occasional walleye in 15 to 20 feet. Sunfish and crappie action remains consistent in 16 to 20 feet on Willow Creek Reservoir and Chesterwoods Pond.

WINONA AREA
Sucker minnows are turning northern pike in the side channels of the Mississippi River in 20 to 30 feet. Most non-current areas such as boat harbors, bays and back channels are holding sunfish in 5 to 10 feet. Anglers fishing on the ice below Lock and Dam #5, #7, #8 and Woodman Dam are catching walleyes.
