Northeast Pennsylvania Fish Report – November 7th, 2014

Mauch Chunk Lake (Carbon County) — Boaters were reporting nice numbers of bass through Oct. 22, although some were sub-legal in size. Nice panfish catches were reported by shore anglers and those fishing the boat launch pier. Pickerel also were reported. 

Beltzville Lake (Carbon County) — A few boaters were catching bass in recent weeks, and striped bass were hitting chicken livers in the Pine Run launch area. Water releases made for low lake levels through late October. Preachers Camp boat ramp was closed, but Pine Run launch remains open.

Pohopoco Creek (Carbon County) — A few walleyes were reported in the spillway of Beltzville Lake in late evening.

Lehigh River (Carbon County) — Trout and smallmouth bass were hitting in the Parryville and Bowmanstown sections through late October. 

Lackawaxen River (Pike County) — Anglers were catching recently stocked trout in moderate water levels. 

Shohola Lake (Pike County) — As of Oct. 22, this fishery was reopened to anglers. 

Greeley Lake (Pike County) — Nice-size bass and good numbers of panfish and pickerel were reported.

Lake Wallenpaupack (Pike County) — Walleyes, perch and bass were reported in recent weeks. 

Belmont, White Oak, Miller lakes, and Upper Woods Pond (Wayne County) — Low water levels persisted through late October, although some anglers reported catching nice panfish and smallmouth bass.
