Northeast Pennsylvania Fish Report – September 25th, 2014

North Branch, Susquehanna River (Bradford, Sullivan counties) — A good smallmouth bass bite was reported despite low flows earlier this month, with some anglers doing well targeting gravel-bottom areas with minnows or minnow-pattern lures.  

Maple Lake, Lackawanna Lake (Lackawanna County) — A good largemouth bass bite was reported on redworms, minnows, and artificials in recent weeks.

Susquehanna River (Luzerne, Columbia counties) — The Nesbitt Park and Breslau pools were productive in recent weeks, with anglers catching walleyes and smallmouths by trolling small crankbaits in 3 to 4 feet.

Francis E. Walter Reservoir (Luzerne County) — Anglers were catching crappies and yellow perch on fathead minnows near rock piles as the drawdown got underway.

Lily Lake (Luzerne County) — Good evening bites on bass and panfish were reported in recent weeks.
