St. Lawrence River: Not hearing a lot, although a huge (55-inch) muskie was caught and released recently. Black Lake: Crappie action highlighted the fishing activity. Not hearing much on the walleye front.

Most of the fishing activity centered on the region’s trout waters and the east of Hudson reservoirs. Lake trout action was consistent on Rondout and Kensico reservoirs. Brown trout were also active at Rondout and Muscoot reservoirs.
