Southeast Minnesota Fishing Report – May 16th, 2014


Walleye and northern pike action has been slow and the majority of panfish have not moved shallow on area lakes. A few crappies and sunfish are being taken with waxworms at the Brookside Boat Landing on Fountain Lake in less than five feet.

Crappies and sunfish remain active in four to six feet at Cedar Lake or eight to 10 feet on Lake Mazaska. A few walleyes are being taken with Rapalas or minnows in eight to 10 feet on Cannon Lake.
