Southeast Ohio Fishing Report – February 14th, 2014

Dillon Lake (Muskingum County) – Anglers fishing the area around Coshocton are catching bluegills, according to Bob Mathie at Bob’s Outdoor Supply. Some fish, saugeyes and crappies primarily, are being caught below the Dillon spillway as is typical throughout the winter months. Try jerkbaits and jig and minnow combinations. There isn’t much ice fishing taking place on the main lake due to fluctuating water levels, Mathie reports.

Wills Creek Lake (Muskingum and Coshocton counties) – Anglers fishing below the dam are catching some saugeyes, reports Bob Mathie at Bob’s Outdoor Supply. The bite is largely hit and miss, he said, but the spillway is still fished fairly hard by the locals. Try stick baits or jig and minnow combinations for the best cold-water bite. Drag them on a slow retrieve.
