Southeastern New York Fishing Report – February 7th, 2014

Safe ice was reported on several waters in the region, including the east of Hudson reservoirs. Diverting Reservoir was one of those spots, where fishing was so-so for panfish and no reports of walleye of late. Muscoot Reservoir may be your best bet for perch, but West Branch Reservoir was seeing a lot of fishing pressure, which may be indicative of the fishing. Cross River Reservoir was also good for perch. Boyds Corners Reservoir was yielding the occasional walleye at last check. As always, keep an eye on changing conditions, but all in all it’s been a decent weather year for the hard-water crowd.
