Adirondacks Fishing Report – February 7th, 2014

Ice fishing season is in high gear in the region, with plenty of ice on virtually all waters. Still, keep an eye on changing conditions, pressure cracks, current and springs. On Lake Champlain, perch action has been decent on Bulwagga Bay, but you’ll likely need to sort through plenty of small fish. The north end of the lake was yielding perch and a few northerns, while South Bay action was so-so for a mixed bag of perch and the occasional walleye. Fourth Lake in Herkimer County was one hot spot for lake trout, landlocked salmon, perch and smelt. Limekiln Lake was worth a look for splake.
