Southeast Pennsylvania Fishing Report – December 6th, 2013

Lake Ontelaunee and Blue Marsh Lake (Berks County) — A good crappie bite on bright-color jigs and minnows was reported at both lakes in mid-November. The shoreline along Route 73 on Ontelaunee and the downed trees at Blue Marsh were productive spots.

Tulpehocken Creek (Berks County) — This stocked-trout fishery downstream of Blue Marsh Lake was low and clear as of Nov. 24. Trout were taking midges (20-24) on the surface. Nymph anglers were using small (18-20) Pheasant Tails and other subsurface flies.
