Lake Ontelaunee (Berks, Montgomery counties) — Crappies and panfish were hitting in late October and early November. The morning bite was productive on plastic grubs on jigheads fished deep in the Route 73 Quarry Hole. Bass also were reported.
Tulpehocken Creek (Berks County) — Flow was normal but off-color and in 51 degrees as of Nov. 9. Nymphing with crawlers and small black midges (18-24) was productive. Small mayfly imitations also were recommended. Other hatches included tan caddis (18-22) and blue-winged olives (20-24). Anglers are reminded to avoid disturbing spawning trout at this time of year.
Lake Nockamixon (Berks County) — Anglers were catching bass on walleyes in deeper water, with artificials productive.
Lehigh, Delaware rivers (Lehigh, Northampton counties) — Water was clear and a little lower than normal as of Nov. 10, and anglers were catching walleyes and catfish.
