Little Lehigh Creek (Lehigh County) — Anglers were releasing recently stocked trout through late September.
Leaser Lake (Lehigh County) — Although water levels still weren’t back to normal by late September, rainbow trout were stocked in recent weeks, with some anglers reporting catches on minnows and powerbait.
Blue Marsh Lake, Lake Ontelaunee (Berks County) — Nice-size crappies were reported on minnows in recent weeks.
Kaercher Creek Lake (Berks County) — Black bass were biting in recent weeks. Hybrid striped bass and muskie action was expected to pick up, too.
Tulpehocken Creek (Berks County) — Low clear water in the mid-60s was reported September 29.TCO Fly Shop reported the evening trout bite on small Blue-Winged Olives (20-24), Tan Caddis (14-18), Midges (18-22), Sulphurs, and White Flies (12-14) was productive.
Marsh Creek Lake (Chester County) — Bluegills and crappies were hitting minnows, wax worms, and mealworms, wax worms. Panfish were reported around structure near-shore structure. Bass in late September were taking jigs, spinners and crankbaits. Rubber worms also were productive, with black, purple and pumpkin the better bets. Bait anglers were doing well on crayfish, minnows and nightcrawlers.
Schuylkill River (Chester County) — Crankbaits and live bait were taking smallmouth and largemouth bass near the Cromby Power Plant outflow. Good catfish catches also were reported on the river, with flatheads hitting bluegills or crawlers, and channel cats taking chicken livers.
