Northwest Minnesota Fishing Report – October 11th, 2013

ALEXANDRIA AREA

Lake Ida and Lake Miltona are producing walleyes over 30 to 50 on a jig and minnow. Minnows also are turning walleyes in 20 to 25 feet on lakes Darling, Le Homme Dieu, and Carlos. Look for crappies over 20 to 30 feet in the Le Homme Dieu Chain. Spinnerbaits or Rattle Traps are triggering bass and pike on the weedlines of most lakes and muskie anglers are throwing bucktails over the tops of the weeds at Miltona and Lobster Lake with some success. Duck hunting has been spotty, but geese remain abundant.
