Northeast Minnesota Fishing Report – October 11th, 2013

DULUTH AREA

Island Lake is producing walleyes with minnows in 10 to 15 feet and muskie anglers are hooking fish at Island on the 10-foot humps with large suckers. A few crappies are being caught at Fish Lake over 12 to 15 feet and the points and shallow structure on the St. Louis River are giving up muskies. Grouse hunting has been better than expected.

GRAND MARAIS AREA

Rapalas are producing walleyes in eight to 12 feet at Devil Track Lake,  minnows are best at Homer Lake in 20 to 25 feet and at Seagull Lake in 25 feet. Rainbows are hitting crawlers in 15 feet at Kimball Lake, 12 to 18 feet at Trout Lake, and 22 feet at Leo Lake. Grouse hunting has been better than expected.
