FARIBAULT AREA
Lake Mazaska is producing crappies, northern pike, and sunfish in 12 feet. Look to Cedar Lake for sunfish in six to eight feet and Hunts Lake is worth hitting for sunfish and crappies over 18 feet. The County Road 12 bridge on Cannon Lake is giving up a few walleyes and perch for shore anglers. Hunting reports have been limited now that the duck season is closed for 12 days.

WINONA AREA
On the Mississippi River, crappies are hitting minnows or plastics in the timber or 10- to 12-foot weeded areas. You’ll find sunfish in the slack-water areas around snags, and a few walleyes are being caught in the deeper holes during the evening hours on crankbaits or minnows and jigs. The warm weather seems to have slowed most hunting activity.
