Adirondaks Fishing Report – October 4th, 2013

While a lot of the focus is now on the early archery deer season and the early bear season in the region, some of the best fishing of the season can be had right now. On the West Branch of the Ausable some fine browns continue to be taken. Lake Champlain bass, trout and landlocked salmon anglers continue to score as the waters cool and the fish are on the prowl. Northern pike action could be very good right now throughout the region, notably in the Saranacs. Early-season goose hunters have done well in the farmland of Clinton County.
