South Central Pennsylvania Fishing Report – August 29th, 2013

Conodoguinet Creek (Cumber­land, York counties) — After-dark angling yielded smallmouth bass and a few rock bass in recent weeks.

Pinchot Lake (Cumberland County) — A few hybrid striped bass were reported near the spillway.

Susquehanna River (Cumber­land County) — Carp and catfish releases were reported in recent weeks.

Yellow Breeches Creek (Cumberland County) — A good bass bite on spinners and large minnows was reported in mid-August.

Long Pine Reservoir (Cumber­land County) — The Chambersburg area was yielding nice bass.

Susquehanna River (Dauphin County) — A good bass bite was reported in mid-August, with anglers catching numbers of small bass as well as some over 15 inches. Numbers of channel catfish up to 25 inches were hitting on chicken livers, crawlers and minnows.
