Capital District Fishing Report – August 22nd, 2013

Tim Blodgett at Saratoga Tackle & Archery (www.saratogatackle.com) reports largemouth action on Saratoga Lake has been in a bit of a lull of late, but bucketmouths are responding to spinnerbaits and frog patterns as well as the standard jig and worm setups.

On Lake George, lakers can be found 70 to 120 feet down, while smallmouth action has been good along rocky shorelines, near weedy areas and down deep – pretty much everywhere. Topwater is an option, according to the folks at FISH307 (www.fish307.com.)
