Southeast Minnesota Fishing Report – June 14th, 2013

ALBERT LEA AREA

At Fountain Lake, walleyes are hitting leeches and fatheads in the channel and by the dam, pike are being taken with Rapalas or spinners and minnows in Edgewater Bay, and Bancroft Bay is kicking out bass and bluegills in less than five feet. You’ll also find panfish in the channel, Hatch bridge area, and around Katherine Island on Fountain. Catfish are biting on green nightcrawlers.

FARIBAULT AREA

Sunfish and crappies are being pulled from Cedar Lake in less than four feet and Roberds Lake is giving up sunfish and bass in shallow water. On Cannon Lake, anglers are fishing along County Road 12 and catching walleyes and northern pike near the bridge, while the docks around Shields Lake are holding sunfish.
