Central New York Fishing Report – April 5th, 2013

Oneida Lake

Nothing happening right now.

Oswego River

Steelhead and a few brown trout were still being taken, with egg sacs working.

Salmon River

The better bite seems to be taking place in the afternoon. The area between Altmar and Pulaski continues to see the most pressure, but there are fish throughout the river. Good baits continue to be egg sacs (blue, pink or chartreuse mesh), beads, pink worms, and stonefly pattern flies.

Genesee River

Steelhead fishing has been good when the river has been down and slightly off-colored, with egg sacs working well.
