Ohio River Region Fishing Report – March 29th, 2013

At Pike Island, anglers are catching saugers up to 15 inches on quarter-ounce jigs in white, chartreuse or glow patterns. Some walleyes up to 17 inches are also being caught. Fish deep with the rig, dragging it across the bottom while jigging it.

At Greenup dam, anglers are reportedly catching saugers ranging from 15-20 inches on minnows. Most of the success was coming on the Kentucky side. Fish the bait on a slow retrieve for the best results.
