Logging the Shawnee Forest could have advantages

For 16 years, logging was banned in the Shawnee National Forest – Illinois’ largest wilderness. That ban was recently lifted. Conservationist say as long as the logging is performed with the utmost respect to the forest and habitat, logging can greatly improve the quality and health of the Shawnee.
