Redwood County Pheasants Forever recently sponsored a “Woodworking for Wildlife” project day for local 4-H members enrolled in Natural Resource projects. Over 30 youth attended the event hosted by the local 4-H Shooting Sports/Wildlife club

Boy Scout Troop 174 of Rural Valley Pa, took on the Wood Duck Challenge. The boy scouts were given a program on the way of the Wood Duck by a Park Ranger from the US Army Corps of Engineers at Mahonning Lake. The Scouts also helped build 4 cedar boxes.
Troop 77 of the BSA recently built and installed 3 wood duck boxes. The boxes were placed in a WV DNR newly constructed wetland. The boxes were placed with assistance from the area Wildlife Manager, Craig McDougal, and Biologist, Mike Peters.
