Southeast Minnesota Fishing Report – March 15th, 2013

Heavy precipitation in the form of rain and snow last weekend left area lakes a mess. There’s so much water on top of the ice on most lakes that anglers have not been able to fish them. Until the water soaks in, fishing options will remain limited.

Ice fishing reports have been poor, but open-water anglers continue to do well on the Mississippi River. Jigs tipped with fatheads or plastics are producing numbers and some bigger walleyes and sauger below the dam in 10 to 15 feet.
