Southwest Pennsylvania Fishing Report – January 18th, 2013

Green Lick Reservoir (Fayette, Westmoreland counties)

In light fishing pressure at the end of last year, boaters caught a few crappies on live minnows. Most fish were 9 to 12 inches. Anglers were sharing the lake with waterfowl hunters.

Jacobs Creek Dam (Fayette, Westmoreland counties)

A few anglers were targeting bass in late December.

Donegal Lake (Fayette, Westmoreland counties)

The trout bite was slow in recent weeks. With water now drawn down, anglers are advised to exercise caution when walking the shoreline.

Brady’s Run Lake (Beaver County)

A trout stocking was slated for Jan. 23.

Bessemer Lake (Lawrence County)

A trout stocking was slated for Jan. 3.
