Southeast Pennsylvania Fishing Report – November 23rd, 2012

Lehigh River  

Nice trout catches were reported in recent weeks.

Little Lehigh River (Lehigh County)

Normal conditions were reported in early November, along with blue-winged olive hatches in the early afternoon. Sucker spawn and San Juan worms were the tickets midmorning. Fishing pressure was light.

Minsi Lake (Berks County)

Numbers of crappies up to 15 inches were reported by anglers trolling minnows over weedbeds.

Hokendauqua, Saucon, Monocacy, Martins creeks (Berks County)

Pheasant Tails, Hare’s Ears and other basic nymphs were taking trout.

Lake Nockamixon (Berks County)

Channel catfish up to 20 inches were hitting on shrimp.

Tulpehocken Creek (Berks County)

Off-color water in the low 50s was reported Nov. 9. Streamers were catching fish, but nymphing was the best bet. Midges (18-22) were hatching.
