Cayuga Lake
No word lately on the tributary fishing for brown trout or Atlantic salmon.
Seneca Lake
Yellow perch were being caught on the south end off the pier in Watkins Glen and by the salt plant. Smallmouth bass were also being caught off the pier.
Keuka Lake
Vertical jigging in 85 to 110 foot of water around the Bluff area was producing some lake trout.
Owasco Lake
Panfish action was good around the lake for anglers using worms, fathead minnows and, if you can find them, spikes. Vertical jigging with plastics in 75 to 110 feet of water had been producing lake trout on the north end but no word if that bite was still going on.
Skaneateles Lake
Anglers were beginning to get a few rainbows from shore on marshmallow and worm rigs. Yellow perch fishing was also starting to pick up.
Susquehanna, Chenango, Tioughnioga and Unadilla rivers
Smallmouth bass and walleye were hitting on darker colored tube jigs and crankbaits. Anglers have also been catching northern pike on those same offerings, as well as on spinnerbaits. Fishing large minnows is also a good game plan for pike.
Whitney Point Reservoir
The reservoir was being drawn down to allow for work on a new bubbler system and staff gauge.
