LAKE MEAD – Striper action has picked up in the Temple Bar area with anglers finding success while throwing Sassy Shads and other shad imitations. Top-water action has been picking up along with the number of striper boils. One guide reportedly caught 83 stripers in one morning while fishing the Boulder Basin with shad imitators.

Region I A CPO in Winnebago County received a complaint call from the state’s attorney’s office regarding a man who shot and killed a baby raccoon during the closed season in the village limits of Winnebago. The investigation validated the complaint and found additional wildlife violations of unlawful trapping furbearer animals during the closed season
Illinois River Near Ottawa, catfish are good. Best on shrimp, chicken liver and shad. Near Peoria, channel catfish good along channel edges. White bass are good on Little Georges.
