Good walleye fishing attracts southwest anglers Southeast Region Report

Lehigh River  

The stretch from Jim Thorpe downstream to the Palmerton Pool was yielding nice trout. Strap Raysely, of Laurys Station, caught three nice trout over 14 inches each, and six smallmouths on minnows.

Little Lehigh River (Lehigh County)

Kirk Frey, of Coplay, caught a 24-inch, 4-pound rainbow trout and Harry Monk, of Bethlehem, a 23-inch, 6-pounder, both on PowerBait. Andre Eaton landed a 24-inch, 5-pound, 9-ounce rainbow on a spinner. Tricos were hatching in the morning and sulphurs in the evening in mid-May.

Cedar Creek (Lehigh County)

Joe Roth, of Allentown, caught a 21-inch, 3-pound, 14-ounce brown trout on a silver CP Swing spinner.

Blue Marsh Lake (Berks County)

Bass, crappies and small catfish were reported in recent weeks.

Monocacy Creek (Northampton County)

Rich Antonacci, of Bethlehem, caught a 22-inch, 6-plus pound brown trout, and Wally Beck, of Bethlehem, caught a 21-plus-inch brown trout on a Beadhead Nymph.
