Crappie and sunfish bite remains inconsistent in many areas – Northeast Report

Minnows and small jigs are producing crappies in the narrows of Fish Lake in eight to 10 feet and on the four- to six-foot rock piles on Rice Lake. Minnows also are triggering perch at Pike Lake in 10 to 14 feet. Steady winds and measurable rain has resulted in limited reports off Lake Superior this week.

The only consistent reports coming in have been from brook trout anglers. Mepps spinners are producing brookies in the upper stretches of rivers such as the Cascade, Brule, and Kadunce.
