Change of date and location for Atlantic Herring Days Out Meeting April 17, 2012, in Durham, N.H.
DURHAM, N.H. — The date and location have changed for the upcoming Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission's Atlantic Herring Section meeting to discuss the allowable "days out" measures for 2012 commercial Atlantic herring harvesters. The meeting will now take place on April 17, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., at the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department's Region 3 Office, 225 Main Street, Durham, N.H., 03824.
The meeting had previously been scheduled for April 16 in Portsmouth.
The 2012 Area 1A allowable catch was set at 24,668 metric tons and seasonal quotas of 72.8% available from June 1 – September 30, and 27.2% available from October 1 – December 30, 2012.

Vessels are prohibited from landing more than 2,000 pounds of Atlantic herring in Area 1A until June 1, 2012.
