CO: Reminder: Cheesman Reservoir Closed to Fishing

DENVER – Colorado Parks and Wildlife is reminding Kokanee
anglers and snaggers that Cheesman Reservoir is closed to all
fishing through April 2012. The reservoir remains closed due to
Denver Water’s continued work on the dam.

Kokanee enthusiasts can pursue their favorite fish at the
following waters in the interim:

— Carter Lake ‑ Larimer County

Snagging for kokanee salmon is permitted from October 1 through
December 31.

–Clear Creek- Chaffee County

From the gauging station (approximately ½ mile above Clear Creek
Reservoir) downstream to Clear Creek Reservoir: Snagging of kokanee
salmon is permitted from October 1 through December 31.

–Clear Creek Reservoir- Chaffee County

Snagging of kokanee salmon is permitted from October 1 through
December 31.

–Green Mountain Reservoir ‑ Grand and Summit Counties

Snagging for kokanee salmon is permitted from September 1 through
December 31.

–Gross Reservoir – Boulder County

1. Fishing is prohibited between the hours of 9 p.m. and 4 a.m., or
as posted at the main entrance.

2. Snagging for kokanee is permitted from September 1 through
January 31.

–Taylor Park Reservoir ‑ Gunnison County

Snagging of kokanee salmon is permitted from September 1 through
December 31.
